Volunteer Training

Are you interested in hosting your own music or talk show on Orange County’s only public radio station? Or would you like to become a news reporter/producer? Then join us at KUCI’s DJ and talk show host Training Class for the Spring 2024 quarter, where you’ll learn how to use KUCI’s equipment, the ins-and-outs of FCC policy, and how you can create your own professional radio show.

Enrolled UCI students, faculty, and staff are welcome to train in any of the four academic quarters during the year — January, April, July, or October.

You can still join KUCI’s Winter Training class on Wednesday, April 10th at 7 pm in a room to be determined. (Check back later for updates.) We will meet once a week for eight successive weeks. Each session will run between 60 and 90 minutes.

To become a KUCI volunteer, whether on-air DJ, a talk show host, or to become an off-air volunteer, you must complete the KUCI training class.

Contact Brooke Medina, KUCI’s Training Director, at training@kuci.org for any questions about the class or about KUCI.

We hope to see you there!
