Home Gardening

It’s the start of April so time for This Month In The Garden, the monthly tips and tricks show hosted by our own Master Gardeners Teena Spindler and Katrina Kirkeby. Color pops in the garden this month with perennials such as lavender, camellias, azaleas, dahlias, and flowers like bearded iris, gladiolas, Shasta daisies, and alstroemeria. All of these wonderful plants are discussed with great tips from these ladies who have garden tour level gardens every year! For your veggie garden, we emphasize succession planting so you don’t grow more than you can eat at one time. And here is a great tip for neighborliness – create a fence line bargain with your next-door neighbor! Give your neighbor a list of choices for edibles that can grow on a property line. Both families will benefit from the bounty!
