Dec 2, Ron Williams, former U.S. Secret Service Agent & CEO of Talon Executive Services, Inc.
After successful 22-year tenure with United States Secret Service, Ron Williams entered private sector security, opening what has become a premier
security consulting suite of companies, Talon Companies. As Chief Executive Officers of Talon Executive Services, Inc., Secure Strategies
International, LLC and Talon Cyber Tec, LLC, Williams is involved with all aspects of security consulting, including critical infrastructure protection requiring Top Secret clearance.
During his career with the Secret Service, Williams had the opportunity to work and supervise all divisions of the SS Treasury department in the Los
Angeles Field Office, including supervision of the credit card and financial fraud squad, the counterfeit squad and the elite Counter Assault Team (CAT) to combat terrorism.
As the Lead Advance Agent, Mr. Williams was responsible for all advance security plans and logistics coordination for Presidential, Vice-Presidential, and
foreign heads-of-state visits to Los Angeles, personally protecting Presidents Ford, Reagan, Bush, and Clinton, as well as such noted dignitaries as Queen
Elizabeth, Yitzhak Shamir, and Pope John Paul. Williams was the recipient of numerous awards including the United States Secret Service Director's Award
for Special Achievement on eight occasions.

security consulting firm that combined best practices of private sector security with USSS protection protocols.
In the wake of 9/11, Talon was called upon to conduct Risk & Vulnerability Assessments to critical infrastructures such as water districts and transportation
authorities, resulting in a specialized branch of security now handled by Secure Strategies International, LLC. As a Talon company, Secure Strategies has
access to all the resources of Talon while specializing on projects that require top-secret security clearance.
As the evolution of security assessments and protection continued, the need to blend physical security with IT security became increasingly evident. As new
protocols were developed and this blend of security more clearly defined, Talon Cyber Tec, LLC was created to oversee specific projects.
Because of his expertise in the field of anti-terrorism, Mr. Williams was asked by the California Gubernatorial delegation in 2002, to meet with Tom Ridge
regarding homeland security. His association with AFAUSSS (Association of Former Agents of the United States Secret Service), ASIS (American Society of
Industry Security), ATAP (Association of Threat Assessment Professionals) American Water Works Association (AWWA) Association of California Water
Agencies (ACWA) to name a few, keeps him abreast of all matters involving security and threat assessment. He is also an active member of the FBI's
InfraGard program, U.S. State Department Overseas Advisory Council (OSAC) and OCPST (Orange County Private Sector Terrorist Response).

Oct 7, Christopher Wolf, director of Hogan Lovells' Privacy and Information Management practice group.
Christopher Wolf is a director of Hogan Lovells' Privacy and Information Management practice group.
Chris was one of the first lawyers in the U.S. to focus on privacy law for clients, and he remains a leader in the field. MSNBC has called
Chris "a pioneer in Internet law." In 1998, a high-profile victory in a pro bono case against the government for its violation of the
Electronic Communication Privacy Act brought Chris to national attention as a privacy lawyer after his almost-two decades as a litigator
in complex commercial and technology cases Today, he is known to clients as a practical problem solver on issues arising from the
collection, use, retention, sharing, and security of personal data. He is a thoughtful compliance counselor focused on risk management
and an effective advocate in federal court, at the Federal Trade Commission, or before state agencies, on the entire range of international and domestic privacy issues.
As the privacy law compliance challenges evolve and as cloud computing, mobile technology, social media, online tracking, cross-border transfers
of data, and other technology-related issues present new problems to solve, Chris is at the forefront of lawyers tackling those problems.
In a rapidly changing area of the law, Chris knows that to be effective a privacy lawyer has to stay abreast of developments and "ahead of
the curve." In that regard, Chris is the founder and chair of the Future of Privacy Forum, a think tank devoted to advancing responsible
data practices that has become a leading platform for discussion and development of best practices.
Chris was the editor and lead author of the first PLI treatise on privacy law and is a frequent author and speaker on privacy and data security
issues. He was the first privacy lawyer to testify before the Senate Judiciary Privacy Subcommittee, the only privacy lawyer to speak at the
2011 eG8 Conference in Paris, and he was a member of a group advising the OECD on the OECD privacy guidelines.
In 2012, Chris was a lead plenary session speaker at the 34th Annual Conference of Data Protection and Privacy Commissioners in Uruguay, and
moderated a panel of Data Protection Authorities from around the world at the "Public Voice" civil society conference that preceded the official
Uruguay conference. Also in 2012, Chris was elected to the American Law Institute and participated in an invitation-only ALI conference in San
Francisco on privacy law; he was asked by the judges of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia to help organize and present at its day-long
off-site conference on privacy law; he was tapped by the International Association of Privacy Professionals to organize and moderate (with his
Future of Privacy Forum co-chair) a "Big Data" program at the IAPP Navigate conference in Mountain View, California; and he presented at Stanford
Law School on the EU E-Commerce Directive. He is a featured speaker at the 2013 Computers, Privacy and Data Protection conference in Brussels.
In its recent guide to law firms, Chambers ranked Chris (and the firm's practice) in the top tier, and wrote: "Christopher Wolf is singled out
as a trusted adviser with strong international capabilities. Sources note that he is 'always making connections for us above and beyond what you expect - a valued business adviser.'"
Chris is a cum laude graduate of Bowdoin College, and graduated magna cum laude Order of the Coif from the Washington & Lee University School
of Law. He participated in the General Course at the London School of Economics. Following law school, he clerked for U.S. District Judge
Aubrey E. Robinson, Jr. in Washington, D.C. Chris is active in charitable organizations and serves on the Boards of the Anti-Defamation

Mar 11, Deborah Peel, the nation's leading advocate for patients' rights to control access to sensitive personal health information in electronic systems.
Deborah C. Peel, MD is the nation's leading advocate for patients' rights to control access to sensitive personal health information in
electronic systems. The lack of health privacy causes millions of people to avoid early diagnosis and treatment for cancer, depression,
and STDs every year. She became an expert and privacy warrior to stop patients from being harmed. She is a practicing physician and Freudian psychoanalyst.
Her passion is educating the public about privacy-enhancing technologies, architectures, policies, and laws, so they can advocate to restore their
civil and human rights to health privacy.
In 2002, amendments to HIPAA eliminated patients' longstanding rights to control personal health information. The right of consent was replaced
with "regulatory permission for covered entities to use and disclose health records for treatment, payment, and healthcare operations." The Amended
HIPAA Privacy Rule put institutions in control of the use, disclosure, and sale of patients' health information, from DNA to diagnoses to prescription
records. Patient control over health data was eliminated.
In 2004, she formed Patient Privacy Rights (PPR), a 501c3 non-profit organization to educate Americans about the importance of health privacy. PPR is
the world's leading consumer health privacy advocacy organization, with over 12,000 members in all 50 states.
In 2006, Dr. Peel founded the bipartisan Coalition for Patient Privacy. The coalition membership includes over 50+ national organizations,
representing 10.3 million people who want to control the use of personal health information. In 2007, Microsoft Corporation joined the Coalition.
In 2009, the Coalition for Patient Privacy worked to ensure historic new privacy and security protections were added to HITECH, the technology portion of
the stimulus bill. Protections included: a ban on sales of protected health information (PHI) without consent, audit trails for disclosures of PHI from
EHRs, the ability to segment sensitive PHI, meaningful breach notice, the right to block disclosure of PHI for healthcare operations if treatment is
paid for out-of-pocket, and requiring encryption. See: http://patientprivacyrights.org/media/CoalitionPatPriv_Final01.14.09.pdf
Since 2007, Dr. Peel has been named one of ModernHealthcare magazine's "100 Most Influential in Healthcare" four times. In 2013, she was named one of
the "Top Ten Influencers in Health InfoSec" by HealthcareInfoSecurity.
Dr. Peel is the catalyst and creator of the annual International Summits on the Future of Health Privacy. First started in 2011, the summits are unique
in the world: urgent threats to health privacy and realistic solutions are thoughtfully debated by national and international experts from advocacy,
academia, government, and industry. To register for the next summit and watch videos from earlier summits visit: www.healthprivacysummit.org.
