Subversity Webcast: Art and Politics

Irvine -- This evening's edition of Subversity, a KUCI public affairs program, looks at Art and Politics and the current controversy over an art exhibit from Vietnam. Featured are Curtis Sandberg, exhibition director at the Meridian International Center in Washington D.C., and Peter Keller, the president of the Bowers Museum of Cultural Art in Santa Ana, Calif. Subversity airs from 5-6 p.m. this evening on KUCI, 88.9 FM in Orange County, Calif., and is Webcast live at kuci.org:8080.

Meridian organized the exhibit, the first cultural exchange between the U.S. and Vietnam, opened last Saturday. A small group of protestors from Little Saigon have demonstrated daily outside the local venue, the Bowers Museum, protesting the origins of the artwork. For more background, check out the news articles at: go.fast.to/news. The guests are interviewed by Daniel C. Tsang, host of Subversity.

You can call the program at (949) 824-5824 to chat during the show. Or you can send e-mail to: subversity@kuci.org.

The show will be available later this week as a RealAudio file via the subversity Web page: go.fast.to/sv.
