"Yellow" director on Subversity; KUCI fund drive continues

Irvine -- Continuing its focus on independent film directors, Subversity, a KUCI public affairs program, interviews Chris Chan Lee, the director of "Yellow" this evening on KUCI, 88.9 FM in Orange County. The show, hosted by Daniel Tsang, airs this evening from 5-6 p.m.

Yellow is currently showing across the street from UCI's main campus, with receipts topping all shows at the theater opening this past weekend. Yellow tells the story of eight teenagers who have just graduated from high school, and takes a youthful poke at the generational gap among Asian Americans, especially Korean Americans. Subversity recently interviewed one of the actors featured in Yellow, John Cho, who also appears in "Shopping for Fangs." Next week we plan to interview Jason J. Tobin, who appears in Yellow.

This evening's interview takes place during KUCI's annual fund drive. If you like what you hear on KUCI, especially Subversity, call (949) 824-KUCI to pledge your support. Win premiums such as CDs and film tickets!
