Film directors/actor on KUCI

Irvine -- As the Newport International Film Festival continues in Orange County, Subversity, a KUCI public affairs program, is pleased to present interviews with two directors and an actor in films currently playing at the festival.

Interviewed on this evening's show (from 5-6 p.m.) on KUCI, 88.9 FM is Wang Shaudi, director of Yours and Mine, a Taiwanese film about urban life; Zwee Duy Tomnewynn, director of The Refugee, a Vietnamese American "western"; and actor Viet Anh Tran, who plays a "good gangster" in The Refugee.

Yours and Mine is showing at UC Irvine's Film and Video Center on campus at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 4. The Refugee is showing at the Orange County Museum of Art, 850 San Clemente, Newport Beach, at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 5. The entire schedule is listed on the Web at: www.nbiff.org.
