Chiapas travellers on KUCI

Irvine -- Subversity, a public affairs program on KUCI, this evening interviews four UCI students and one former UCI student who recently went down to Chiapas after the recent massacre to help the people there. Subversity airs from 5-6 p.m. tonight on KUCI, 88.9 FM in Orange County.

Adrian Neri, a senior; Manuel Galvan, a recent graduate; Rosaura Pafoya, a junior; Norma Vega, a senior, and Melina Duarte, a junior, will talk about their experiences and read testimony from villagers about their plight. The area is one of several insurgent areas fighting the Mexican government.

The show will be preceded by a discussion of press coverage over sexual matters in wake of the UCI Art School censorship controversy between Subversity host Dan Tsang and fellow KUCI public affairs show host John Earl, who co-hosts "the News Gap". Listeners can call the station at (714) 824-KUCI during the show.
