Subversity covers allegations of vote fraud

Irvine -- The KUCI "Subversity" interview program this evening features interviews with Nativo Lopez, who runs Hermandad Mexicana Nacional in Orange County, and R. Scott Moxley, a senior editor at OC Weekly, on former Congressman Bob Dornan's campaign to overturn the recent election that saw challenger Loretta Sanchez win his seat in Congress. The show is dedicated to the memory of Judi Bari, of Earth First!, who passed away Sunday. The show airs this evening from 5-6 p.m. on KUCI, 88.9 FM in Orange County.

Lopez is at the center of the controversy over whether or not his group, which holds citizenship classes, illegally registered non-citizens, leading, Dornan charges, to Sanchez's election. Moxley is the author of the cover story in this week's OC Weekly that argues that the DA and the mainstream media have ignored electoral irregularities by bounty hunters registering Republicans. The show is hosted by Daniel C. Tsang.

The show airs during KUCI's pledge drive; if you support Subversity, be sure to show your support by listening at 5 p.m. You can call to pledge or to discuss what you hear on the show during airtime at (714) 824-KUCI.

Earlier shows are listed on the web; some are available on Vox audio: http://www.kuci.uci.edu/~dtsang/subversity. For more information, send e-mail to: subversity@kuci.uci.edu, or call Tsang at (714) 824-4978.

Next Tuesday (March 11), the guest will be the National Writers' Union's Bob Chatelle, who will discuss "Banned in Boston," the Boston Mayor's order to city departments (and public libraries) to censor Web content.
