CCRI topic of Subversity

Irvine -- The so-called California Civil Rights Initiative (Proposition 209) will be the topic of an interview Tuesday evening with Sissy Nga Trinh, an organizer with Californians for Justice. The interview, by show host Daniel Tsang, airs on KUCI's Subversity public affairs program, on 88.9 FM from 5-6 p.m. Tuesday October 15, 1996.

Measure opponents like Trinh argue that instead of protecting civil rights the initiative will abolish affirmative action and make it harder for women and people of color to obtain jobs. Californians will vote on the proposition early next month.

Subversity airs each Tuesday on KUCI. Listeners can call the show at (714) 824-KUCI to chat with the guest. Web browsers can listen to selected shows on http://www.kuci.uci.edu/~dtsang/subversity. Previous shows are also listed.
