E-mail case ends up in court; attorney interviewed

Irvine -- This evening's edition of "Subversity," a weekly KUCI public affairs interview program, presents an exclusive interview with Crystal D. Sluyter, an attorney retained by a UCI librarian who has filed a lawsuit alleging her privacy rights were violated when her incoming e-mail was diverted to another person without her prior knowlege.

Sluyter, a Huntington Beach labor attorney, represents Irene Wechselberg, who is suing the University of California Regents in Orange County Superior Court for unspecified compensatory and punitive damages. The case (no. 765332) has been assigned to Judge Ronald C. Kline in Department 7. The complaint charges violation of Article I, Sec. 1 of the California Constitution.

Sluyter will discuss "Your Rights at Work" with show host Daniel Tsang, also a UCI librarian.

The show airs September 3 (postponed from August 27) from 5-6 p.m. on KUCI, 88.9 FM in Orange County. Listeners can call the show at (714) 824-KUCI to chat with the guest.
