The Gender Split in the Republican Party

Irvine -- As the GOP convention begins in San Diego, how is the gender gap splitting the party? Tomorrow's guest on KUCI radio's live, public affairs interview program, "Subversity," will be UC San Diego Assoc. Prof. Rebecca Klatch, an authority on women on the right. The show airs from 5-6 p.m. on Tuesday, August 13, 1996, on KUCI, 88.9 FM. The show will focus on: "The Gender Split in the GOP".

Prof. Klatch, the author of "Women of the New Right" (Temple University Press, 1987), has been at UC San Diego for four years as an assoc. prof. of sociology. She formerly taught at UC Santa Cruz. She holds a Ph.D from Harvard.

Prof. Klatch will be interviewed by Subversity host Daniel C. Tsang, a bibliographer and lecturer at UC Irvine. Listeners can dial (714) 824-KUCI to chat with the guest during the show. KUCI, the public broadcasting station at UC Irvine, broadcasts throughout most of Orange County.
