Health Care Reform vs. Privatization Topic of KUCI's Subversity Show
Irvine -- Is UCI about to privatize its Medical Center? This week's guests on KUCI's Subversity program are Lorie Fisher, a registered nurse and health care reform activist at UCI who's a member of the California Nurses Association, and Liza Javier, an organizer with the University of California Association of Interns and Residents. The guests will discuss efforts to sell off the medical center, recent layoffs, employee organizing, and upcoming California ballot initiatives relating to reforming health care.
