PoiZon Azn raps about life

Irvine -- What was it like to come out as a Cantonese-speaking gay teenager, especially as a gang member?

Subversity, a public affairs interview program on KUCI, features the young Dez Kwok (Dezzie K.), who was born in Rockford Illinois and grew up in San Francisco. Dez goes by the name, Poizon Azn. An artist and web designer, his web page (www.dynamiqvision.com/poizonazn/) eloquently lets it all out on his relationships and his life of turmoil and excitement. The site also features photos of himself, now 21: www.dynamiqvision.com/poizonazn/DezPicsX.html. Dez also is known as PsYcoTiC ChiNK among other nicknames.

To hear the conversation between Dez and show host Dan Tsang, listen to Subversity today (Tuesday, September 24, 2002) from 4-5 p.m. The show is also web-cast simultaneously via kuci.org.

We'll also bring a brief update on the situation facing Wan Yan Hai, who was released Friday from state custody in Beijing after admitting his "mistake" in posting a report on the Henan Province tainted blood AIDS scandal.

Next week KUCI begins its Fall Quarter. Subversity remains on the same day and time.

Thanx for listening.
