Sex Not Harmful to Minors?

Irvine -- Teens and children aren't sexual, or can't be, right?

Begging to differ is Judith Levine, author of a controversial new book Harmful to Minors: The Perils of Protecting Children from Sex. On Subversity this Tuesday (August 27), 4-5 p.m., host Dan Tsang talks with Levine on why she wrote this book and how she's dealing with the ensuing furor.

The show airs on KUCI, 88.9 fm in Orange County, Calif., and via the Web at

Even before its publication, Levine's book caused a storm of controversy with its publisher, the University of Minnesota Press, coming itself under the university's scrutiny for daring to publish Levine's work.

Could it be that Levine is a voice of sanity in the ongoing moral panic over adult/teen sex and priestly pederasty? Here's your chance to find out.

Listeners can call (949) 824-5824 to chat with Levine during Tuesday's show.
