Postponed from last wk: Weather Underground ex-fugitive

Irvine - Postponed from last week, Subversity today presents an interview with Bill Ayers, author of Fugitive Days, a memoir of his days in the Weather Underground. We chat about politics, terrorism, life underground, arrogance, John Sinclair and MC5, drugs, and gay liberation.

The show airs today, Friday, from 5-6 p.m. on KUCI, 88.9 fm in Orange County, Calif., and on the Web via kuci.org.

See earlier press release for details of the program: April 5 press release.

This show is dedicated to the memory of Peter Biehl, whose efforts at reconciliation in South Africa came after his daughter, Amy, a Fulbright Scholar from Newport Beach, was killed in South Africa. Peter Biehl was on Subversity two years ago to talk about "Long Night's Journey into Day," the documentary about Truth and Reconciliation in South Africa.

The film was shown at that year's Newport Beach Film Festival. For this year's showings, see www.newportbeachfilmfest.com.
