Chossudovsky on CIA and Osama Bin Laden

Irvine -- An added guest on this afternoon's Subversity radio show is scheduled to be Michel Chossudovsky, who'll talk about how the CIA trained those fighting in Afghanistan against the Soviet Union, including Osama Bin Laden, now the target of the U.S. as the country veers towards war against vague enemies.

As announced earlier, the show also includes Michel Shehadeh, of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee's West Coast Regional Office based in Orange County. See earlier press release.

The show airs from 5-6 p.m. west coast time on KUCI, 88.9 fm in Orange County, and is simultaneously webcast via kuci.org.

Chossudovsky is the author of Globalisation of Poverty (Zed Press, 1997), about IMF and the World Bank's role in various economies; and a prolific writer. For example, he wrote "The Business of Crimes and the Crimes of Business," about the criminalization of economics, in CovertAction Quarterly, Fall, 1996. He is a professor in the economics dept. of University of Ottawa.

He last was on Subversity discussing the NATO bombing of Yugolslavia and the Kosovo Liberation Army on our April 13, 1999 show.

Listeners can call (949) 824-5824 to chat with our guests, or send e-mail to subversity@kuciorg.
