WBAI Coup; Medical Use of Marijuana

rvine -- Alternative News at KUCI today takes a look at latest firings over the weekend at WBAI, the Pacifica station in Manhattan; and Subversity chats with two advocates of medical marijuana.

In a pre-Christmas strike, Pacifica management has locked out many staffers of WBAI (including Democracy Now's Amy Goodman), while replacing top management at the station. Alternative News, airing at KUCI on 88.9 fm in Orange County from 4-5 p.m. today, takes a historical look at the long-brewing controversy over the alternative radio network.
