Drug Treatment, Not Prison; Community College Board Race

Is drug treatment the answer to the overpopulation of our prisons with inmates on drug charges? And what is happening in the South Orange County community colleges board race?

Subversity, a KUCI public affairs program, features interviews with a spokesperson for Yes on Prop. 36, a proposition that seeks treatment instead of incarceration for drug offenders; and with an incumbent seeking re-election to the South County community colleges board.

We chat with Scott Ehlers, from Yes on Prop. 36 (www.drugreform.org), who formerly was Senior Policy Analyst for the Drug Policy Foundation in Washington, D.C. Prop. 36 will be on next Tuesday's ballot in California.

We also chat with David Lang, an accountant who's seeking re-election to the controversial south county college colleges board of trustees. The show host is Daniel C. Tsang.

The show airs from 5-6 p.m. on KUCI, 88.9 fm in Orange County, Calif., and is Web-cast on kuci.org.

Listeners can call (949) 824-5824 to chat with the guests during the show.
