Title Fight – Hyperview - [Anti-Records]
Title Fight is a Melodic Hardcore/Punk Rock band from Kingston, PA. After taking a small break from the studio, Title Fight have reemerged with an awesome new record entitled Hyperview, which marks the band’s first release on Anti-Records (Epitaph Record’s sister label). Throughout their 12 year career, Title Fight’s sound has been one that is constantly evolving. With each of their albums slowly moving away from their original Punk Rock/Pop Punk sound, Title Fight have once again crossed new barriers with their newest release, which can be characterized by its mellow yet haunting vibe, as well as its phased out guitars and melancholy vocal harmonies. While the sound of this record is very unique to say the least, the listener is still able to pick out many well-known influences such as: Jawbreaker, Knapsack, Radiohead, and The Cure. Tracks to definitely check out on this album include: “Chlorine,” “Mrahc,” “Your Pain Is Mine Now,” and “Rose Of Sharon.”

Give – Sonic Bloom – EP – [Revelation Records]
Give is a Punk Rock/Post-Hardcore band from Washington D.C. Their newest EP Sonic Bloom, which was just released via Revelation Records, is a really sick record that packs quite a powerful punch. Characterized by gut-wrenching vocals, intricate guitar riffs, and an intensity that is felt as soon as the listener hits play, this short but sweet 5 song record is perfect for fans of notable ‘80s D.C. Punk Rock/Hardcore bands such as Fugazi, Embrace, Rites Of Spring, and Dag Nasty. Tracks to definitely check out on this album include: “Sonic Bloom,” “Brand New Flag,” and “Eat the Rainbow.”

toyGuitar - In This Mess - [Fat Wreck Chords]
toyGuitar is a Punk Rock “supergroup” that consists of members of other well-known Punk Rock bands such as Swingin’ Utters and The Re-Volts. Their debut full-length album In This Mess, which was released earlier this year courtesy of Fat Wreck Chords, is a really upbeat and catchy record that can be appreciated by any fan of Punk Rock, or just Rock and Roll in general. Characterized by its upbeat drumming, twangy guitars, and “ooh” and “ahh” melodies, In This Mess pays homage to many well-known punk/rock/alternative groups of the past and present such as: The Buzzcocks, The Arctic Monkeys, The Hives, and The Foxboro Hot Tubs. The listener can also pick out quite a bit of Surf Rock influences throughout this record as well. Tracks to definitely check out on this album include: “Human Hyenas,” “When It Was Over,” “Static Attraction,” and “Roller Coasters.”

All Eyes West - Doomer - [Ass-Card Records]
All Eyes West are a Punk Rock/Post-Hardcore band from Chicago, IL that features Tucker Rule (ex-Thursday) on drums. Their new album Doomer is really awesome record that packs a pretty powerful punch with its unique yet refreshing combination of raw energy and soothing melody. With a sound that pulls elements from many different genres (Punk Rock, Post-Hardcore, Alternative, Emo, etc) and that resembles a wide array of artists such as: The Foo Fighters (early), Jawbox, Braid, and Hot Water Music, it’s needless to say that All Eyes West are a really unique band that a lot of different types of people with different music tastes can appreciate. Don’t pass on these guys! Tracks to definitely check out on this record include: “Lie In Wait,” “Plastic Hearts,” “West Thirteenth,” and “A Week Inside.”

Heavy Hand - Northwoods Knives - [Latest Flame Records]
Heavy Hand is a Punk Rock/Noise Rock band from Milwaukee, WI. Their newest record Northwoods Knives is a fast, loud, and in your face Punk album that still manages to maintain a charming sense of melody all throughout the record. Characterized by loud and distorted guitars, screaming vocals that would probably give me a sore throat if I attempted to sing them, and odd yet creative (mostly funny) song title’s such as: “David Bowie Wants to Steal Your Baby,” and “I Freed All Four Wizards,” this album is one that appeals to a large audience, even those who do not necessarily have punk-sensibilities. If you’re a fan of Spraynard, Knapsack, Superchunk, or The Audacity, I think that you will really like this band. Tracks to definitely check out on this record include; “Winner Winner (Beer For Dinner),” “Milwaukee Cum Dumpster,” and “Secret of these Wedges.”

Menace Beach - Ratworld - [Memphis Industries]
Menace Beach is an Alternative/Indie Punk band from the UK. Their debut full-length album Ratworld is a really upbeat and catchy record that immediately grasps the listener’s attention as soon as they hit play. Characterized by its fuzzed out guitars, giddy tempos, and smooth melodies, Ratworld throws it back to the sounds of ‘90s alternative music, headlined by bands such as: Superchunk, Dinosaur Jr., and The Breeders. Tracks to definitely check out in this album include: “Come On Give Up,” “Elastic,” “Dig It Up,” and “Tennis Court.” A lot of people have been talking about this band as of late, so I definitely recommend checking them out and joining the conversation!

Ex-Cult - Cigarette Machine - [Castle Face Records]
Ex-Cult are a Punk Rock/Post-Punk band from Memphis, TN. Their new record Cigarette Machine is an upbeat yet haunting album that can be characterized by its thick bass lines, fuzzed out twangy guitars, and angsty vocals. If you’re a fan of The Damned, The Sound, The Sex Pistols, or even The Misfits, I guarantee that you will like this band and their catchy yet dark sound. Tracks to definitely check out on this album include: “Clinical Study,” “Cigarette Machine,” and “Your Mask.”

The Dagoes - Supreme - [Sinister Torch Records]
The Dagoes are an Australian Punk Rock/Power-Pop band that was active between the years of 1979 and 1983. Their record Supreme, which is a compilation of all of the band’s original 7 inches that was compiled and released via Sinister Torch Records earlier this year, is a really catchy and upbeat record that is considered to be pretty ahead of its time. Characterized by loud and distorted guitar riffs, poppy melodies, and shredding keyboard solos, the songs heard on this record are considered to be gems amongst the Australian Punk Scene. While not too many people around the world had heard of The Dagoes during their prime, the people of Adelaide, Australia still regard the band as being the backbone of their scene to this day. With the help of Sinister Torch Records, people around the U.S. can now begin to appreciate the Dagoes. If you’re a fan of British punk bands such as The Buzzcocks and The Damned, you should check this band out. Tracks to definitely check out on this album include: “Vatican Stomp,” “I Do It For Mama,” “Blood On My Face,” and “Kids Got Style.”
