Mr. Lee (also known as Yi Chang-Dong), directed "The Green Fish" (1997), a feature film about a young man who, after military service, ends up embroiled in mob ties. The film shows tomorrow evening at 8 p.m. at UCI's new film theater, 100 Humanities Instructional Building, kicking off a months-long Post-Colonial Classics of Korean Cinema series. Before he became a film-maker, Lee wrote the scripts for two other Korean films, "To the Starry Island" and "A Single Spark." Joining Mr. Lee in the interview will be Prof. Kyung Hyun Kim of the Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures, who teaches Korean cinema.
