Irvine -- "Alternative News," a new weekly program on KUCI, 88.9 fm in Orange County, today features a report from Washington, D.C., where protestors are gathering to challenge the policies and practices of the World Bank and the IMF.

The program, airing from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m. tonight on KUCI, 88.9 fm and Web-cast at, features today's edition of "Inside Capital: News From the Streets and Suites of Washington and the World."

Inside Contact is a joint production of The National Radio Project and Free Speech Radio News. The series focuses on the Spring meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank held this week in Washington, D.C.

We'll also report on the upcoming strike by student workers at UCI and other UC campuses.
